VNC Viewer

VNC is remote control software which allows you to view & fully interact with one computer desktop using VNC Viewer on another computer desktop anywhere on the Internet. To use VNC on katie, a user must first login via PuTTY and start their own vnc server (please remember to kill your server when you are done). VNC can be downloaded from  www.realvnc.com.

WinSCP

WinSCP is an open source free SFTP client, SCP client, FTPS client & FTP client for Windows. Its main function is file transfer between a local and a remote computer.  More WinSCP information and current downloads can be found www.winscp.net.

PuTTY

PuTTY is a free implementation of Telnet & SSH for Windows and Unix platforms.  A current version of PuTTY can be downloaded from www.putty.org.
