Custom Focus Area

The custom focus area is one in which students, with the help of their advisor, determine a set of classes that will fulfill a single focus. For example, students interested in biology might want to take biology classes instead of the predefined focus areas. All custom focus areas must be approved by faculty, and consist of a minimum of 9 credits (usually 3 courses) in an area.
